Asia-Oceania Incubation Fund

The Asia-Oceania Incubation Fund offers the opportunity to invest alongside a dynamic and successful team allocating capital to innovative Asia and Oceania based small to medium sized companies.

Rista Group K.K. has been appointed as the Research Advisor to the Fund. Rista Group KK is a specialist Japanese financial intelligence, research and publishing firm based in Tokyo.  Its core areas of expertise are economics, equities, fixed income and industry research.  It publishes a range of magazines, books, market analysis and statistical data.

The Fund will focus on long term investment into businesses that maintain a strong business model and an efficient team that has a thorough knowledge of their business.  The Asia-Oceania Incubation Fund is opportunistic in outlook and can invest into any sector.  It will typically focus on businesses which either currently have, or have the ability to create over time, some or all of the following characteristics:

A Power Now

Based in Tokyo, Japan, A Power Now was established in February 2011 and administers the specialist Asian online recruitment website, "A Power Now!".   It also operates the client database and is responsible for publishing a cutting edge monthly electronic magazine for foreign students called "A Power Magazine".

Investment Guidelines

An independent Auditor, Ernst & Young, has been appointed to check compliance with the Fund’s investment guidelines prior to an investment being made, and as an ongoing part of its annual external audit work.

Investment guidelines include:

  • If practicable funds will be invested in a minimum of 3 Portfolio Companies.
  • Permitted investments include, but are not limited to, cash deposits, common stock, debt or bonds, preference shares and convertible instruments.
  • Governance guidelines require full information transparency of all portfolio companies.
  • The Asia-Oceania Incubation Fund LP will invest 20% of capital contributions into the Rutherford Innovation Fund LP (Institutional Class)
